Today Cade and I carved our pumpkins. Cade wanted me to carve a spooky ghosts pumpkin and for his little pumpkin we used the doggy and kitty plug ins, they were adorable! The seeds are soaking at the moment and I can't wait to cajun them up!!

Getting ready for Halloween!
This is my favorite time of year!
Even though we have not even been here for a week you can bet yourself that I already have decorations up, candles/oils burning in the house and cute Halloween cookies in the cookie jar. I would've had a nice fall arrangement on our dining room table but it's on back order until the 20th :(
Here are just a couple pictures I snapped of Cade playing in the front yard yesterday!

MOD Moms
Back in June when we learned we would be eventually moving to Katy, TX I quickly did some searching to what the town was like. I came across a website with all the mommy groups in the area and was very interested in this one, MOD moms of Katy. This groups is for new moms that are new to the area and don't have much family or friends, (like us HA). They accepted me and kept me on there site even though it would be awhile before we could actually go to any meet ups.

Katy, TX
I know I've not been keeping up with this blog, we have been SUPER busy with this move. I will do a quick run down of whats been happening with our life.
October 7th; Atlas moving company came in and moved our ENTIRE house thanks to Bobbys awesome work who paid for the entire bill. (whew)
Cade and I took off for Texas the same day, got to Alabama around 9pm and got checked into our hotel for the night.
October 8th; Get checked out of the hotel around 9am and hit up the local Starbucks (of course!). We arrived in Katy around 4pm. I brought bedding in my car so that Cade and I could camp out on the master bedroom floor for the night.
October 9th; The movers arrived at 7am to unload everything. Took them about 3 hours, 4 guys and me telling them all where to put stuff! Thank the lord for them. Bobbys is working offshore right now so I had to do all of this by myself with Cade. It was actually pretty easy considering the moving company did everything!
Our new furniture got delivered the same day as well!
The past few days I've been cleaning, shopping, playing with Cade and of course putting our new home together!
I absoutly love it here, now I know why everyone who I talked to over the phone said "oh you will love Katy". In the area where we live there are a lot of stay at home moms (I MEAN A LOT), that are very involved in the community. I recently joined 2 mommy groups so we can meet new people and Cade can built friendships. The moms are always doing fun activities for the kids along with mno (mom nights out) as well.
Our neighborhood is perfect, in a cul de sac, very quiet and super cute! We live in a large community with tons of parks, waterparks, golf courses, tennis courts, beach clubs and etc. Not to mention the shopping is awesome as well!
Katy has the number one school district in all of Houston. A lot of the churches have a program called Moms Day Out where "if" you can get on the waiting list, it's a program to take your kids 2 days a week so the moms can have mommy time to get their errands done! I've already got in touch with a few places, wish us luck on that one! Another really cool thing that I found is this place about 3 miles from our house called Itty Bitty City, it's strictly a drop off place for your kids. They are professional babysitters and you can drop your kid off whenever you want and pay an hourly, there open mon-thurs until 9pm and fri and sat until 1am, Bobby and I will deffinetly use them to have some date nights! You can also have birthday parties there on Sundays, It's really cute play place.
This town is super nice kinda like something you would see out of a movie, seriously.
People are STILL wondering why we moved....
Bobby got laid off of his job in FL in February and couldn't find work. The jobs for him there were going down due to the economy and our patients were running out. One of Bobbys really good friends that he was in the Marine Corps with lives here in Katy with his family as well and told him about his job in Houston working offshore as a Hydrographic Surveyor. Bobby contacted Fugro Chance and they flew him out for an interview the same week. He's been there for a few months and loves it. Bobbys worked in this field for 7 plus years (including military years) doing land surveying. His new job is working on big vessels in the Gulf of mexico monitoring the ocean floor for all the oil piping and stuff. It's hard to explain and his job but it's quit intresting. Even though he is gone for weeks at a time it's totally worth it. It's nice when he comes home because he is home for a few days or even a few weeks (with pay).
Cade and I are doing just great and even though I miss my hubby terriable I know he is doing whats best for his family and that makes him a good man!
I'm very lucky I get to stay home with my son and watch him grow and learn! We do so much fun stuff together and we're so close, it's the best feeling in the world.
Okay well that was really long haha I just wanted to let everyone who reads my blog to get a sense of whats going on. There's a lot more and I will try and keep with the blogging thing but sometimes we're having too much fun or I get to lazy to get on here lol.
